Pastors leed in American revolution

1750 - In Colonial America, Rev. Jonathan Mayhew of Boston delivered
a sermon entitled, "Discourse Concerning Unlimited Submission." The
sermon attacked both the divine right of kings and ecclesiastical
absolution.
